Business Discovery
Understand what is really holding your business back.
Which problem brought you here?
“We know what is frustrating us.”
“We know something is costing us, but we do not know where.”
“We want to modernise the business.”
Not sure which fits? Ask us before you commit.

| Scope, not quality | Bottleneck Discovery | Value Leakage Discovery | Business Transformation Discovery |
|---|---|---|---|
| You know… | Where the pain appears | Performance, margin or capacity is leaking | The organisation needs to operate differently |
| You need to establish… | The proven root cause or best intervention | Exactly where it is being lost or why | Where the highest-value changes are or what should happen first |
| We investigate… | One defined business problem and the dependencies needed to explain it | The operational and financial evidence behind cost and performance | A meaningful operating scope across the broader organisation |
| Your output | Root-cause diagnosis and implementation recommendation | Ranked map of leakage opportunities and recovery interventions | Prioritised operating transformation portfolio and roadmap |
| Scope | Focused | Multi-workflow or function | Broad organisation |
| From | £5,000 | £7,500 | £12,500 |
Every service uses the same evidence and assurance standard. The fee changes with the investigation scope, not the quality of the work.
Evidence before intervention.
- Findings you can check
- Conclusions link to observations, records or interviews. Assumptions and missing evidence are identified alongside the recommendation.
- A choice of interventions
- We compare process changes and technology options against value, effort and risk. Implementation is optional; you can take the findings to your own team or another supplier.
A report you can use. A readout you can challenge.
A decision-ready evidence pack
Approved, client-safe evidence linked to the conclusions it supports, with sensitive source material kept behind the agreed access controls.
Findings ranked by size
Not a flat list of everything wrong. What matters most, what it costs, and why we are confident.
Options with real numbers
Each option costed for money, effort and risk — including the option of changing nothing.
A stated recommendation
We say what we would do and why. You are paying for a view, not a menu.
Stated confidence
Where evidence is strong we say so. Where a finding is a working assumption, it is labelled as one.
A live interactive findings presentation
We walk the audit through with your leadership team, test challenges against the evidence and correct the answer when the evidence requires it.
It’s not about being right. It’s about getting it right.
Your leadership team should leave understanding what should change, why, where the value comes from and how success will be measured. If a challenge changes the evidence, the recommendation changes with it.
AI only where it earns its place.
AI can be useful for extracting information, classifying documents and drafting from approved material. We assess whether it can meet the task’s reliability, oversight and data-handling requirements.
Our approach is model-agnostic: where AI fits, the model should be selected for the task, data requirements, reliability and cost. That does not mean every model is suitable for every engagement.
What happens next?
- Start with a free scoping conversation. We establish the question and whether Discovery is appropriate.
- Review a written proposal covering scope, access, team involvement, timeline and fixed fee.
- We gather and test evidence, then present the findings and options. You decide whether to implement anything.
The investigation has defined stages and decision boundaries. Timing depends on scope and evidence availability; it is agreed in the proposal.
UK engagements from £5,000
Every Discovery engagement is scoped before commencement and quoted as a fixed fee.
US on-site engagements from $15,000.
The quote sets out inclusions, any applicable taxes and travel costs. Changes to agreed scope are discussed and approved before additional work begins.

Confidentiality as standard
An NDA before any commercially sensitive material changes hands, signed from our side without being asked.
Data minimisation
We ask for what a stated question requires and nothing more. Where anonymised or extracted data will do, we use that.
Your data stays yours
Client information is used for the agreed purpose, with retention and return or deletion set out before processing begins. Reuse beyond delivery, including any proposed model training, needs separate assessment and the applicable legal and contractual permissions.
One named point of contact
You deal with the person doing the work. No account manager between you and the findings.
Clear rights, protected evidence
Your final report, recommendations and approved client-safe evidence pack are yours to use within the rights set out in the engagement. Sensitive source evidence remains subject to agreed access and retention controls. Underlying methodology, software and analytical systems remain proprietary to their existing rights holders.
Straight talk about your people
Discovery examines how work happens; it is not an employee-performance assessment. Interview attribution and access to sensitive accounts are agreed before evidence is gathered.
Recording, transcription, attribution, processing routes and retention are agreed before Discovery begins. Sensitive source material can be restricted, anonymised or excluded from client-facing outputs as appropriate.
